Accessorize Your New Ride!

This list of the coolest and most helpful car accessories will help you enjoy your new ride

You’ve got your brand new shiny vehicle and you’re ready to roll! If you’re like most busy Americans, you spend a lot of time in your car, so here are some helpful accessories you can add to make your time more productive, more comfortable or more fun.

1.) Cell Phone Signal Booster. We’ve all been there, you’re driving along, talking on your cell phone through your hands-free device when suddenly, your call drops because you’ve lost signal. Luckily, there’s a device that can help prevent this – the cell signal booster for vehicles. Here’s how they work:

A cell phone booster works by pulling in weak signal, boosting it, and then rebroadcasting it inside your area in need.

Most signal boosters are a three-part system:

·                The Outside Antenna to capture weak cell signal.

·                The Amplifier to boost the weak signal.

·                The Inside Antenna to rebroadcast the enhanced signal inside your home or car.

*Note: talking on your mobile device while driving can be dangerous. For the sake of safety, it’s always best to pull over and park when you need to talk on the phone, even when using a hands-free device.

2.) Tire Traction Mats. Getting stuck in the snow, mud or sand can be extremely frustrating and costly if you need a tow truck to help you out. There’s where having tire traction mats can help. These handy mats are usually made of rubber or plastic and have knobby treads on them. When you get stuck, simply place them on the ground as close as possible to the front of each wheel and gently give your car some gas. The knobby surface gives tires something to grab on to so you can pull yourself out of your sticky situation.

3.  Dash Camera. In some areas of the world, dash cams are required. While they are typically used for safety purposes, they’re also good for capturing those hilarious, spontaneous moments you and your friends share on road trips. We like dash cams because they can provide an unbiased witness in the event of an accident.

4.)  Inflatable Car Bed. It’s always smart to drive when you’re well-rested; a sleepy driver can be just as dangerous as a drunk driver. Having an inflatable car bed available will give worn-out drivers a comfy place to lay down when they pull over and park to fight fatigue. Inflatable car beds fit in the back seat and depending on your vehicle, can sometimes offer nearly the same sleeping area as a twin size mattress.

5.)  Swivel Snack Tray. If you spend a lot of time driving, you’ll probably end up eating, drinking, and working on the run. A pivoting car tray allows front seat passengers to have food or other necessities at your fingertips.

6    Windshield Wiper Rejuvenator. A handy little gadget like the EcoCut can help keep your windshield clean when you’re on the road and don’t have a chance to buy new blades. It is a specially shaped device that you slide your wiper blade in to. Slide the device along the length of the blade and it trims off the rough, worn edge so your blades wipe more cleanly.

7.)  Key Finder. You’re running late and can’t find your keys. It’s happened to most of us at some point. Many companies now produce small Bluetooth devices you can attach to your keychain. Pair the Bluetooth device with your smartphone and voila! You’ll be able to find your keys in a snap.
